For auction is this very rare 1918 Two Dollar Federal Reserve Bank Note. This mega rare note is Fr.779 from the San Francisco District. In our opinion this note is a
Strong Very Fine
. It is super crisp with no rips, tears or pinholes. It features razor sharp edges, full even margins and excellent color. These large size notes were used by individual states with permission from the Federal Reserve during the depression of the early 1930s. It was believed that individual states would print only what was needed and could keep track of banks more directly. They were only printed for a couple of years. There are
only 36 known notes
